Autorickshaw rent from point A to point B - X Bucks
Autorickshaw driver demands - 2X Bucks
2X < 1/2(1/2(1/2(1/2(1/n of Nk)))))
And yet I,
- lose my temper
- prefer standing in the sun - which triggers migraine and costs me a night's sleep, a day's work and blinding pain despite pain killers
- miss a good 10 minutes of most movies
- waste precious time pondering over ideas to combat the menace
- do a zillion other things not worth 2X bucks at all!
Its not like these guys are billionaires ripping you off unlike some biz tycoons. In fact, what I would end up paying extra for a month would be less than the amount I usually blow up on a typical weekend outing. And yet it causes me so much anguish!
Is it because I am stingy? Nope, definitely not.
It is because the idea of being shortchanged, of being fleeced, is not very appeasing. Especially when you know for a fact that you are being taken for a ride...literally and figuratively!
Someone has to take the highroad here. And so, I've decided to take my mother's advice and make my peace with the autorickshaw drivers' fraternity forever. No autorickshaw driver shall ever make my blood curdle...again!
Unless...plan B falls into place. The day I own a gun, these people are so done!
Auto-drivers are living proof that practice does not make a man perfect.

I am waiting for the day the auto fellows go out of business. I am just letting the cab guys fleece me... atleast they dont drive like maniacs Sigh!
Agree! Unfortunately you can't find cabs as easily as autos :(
